Restaurant Reviews - Greig's Restaurant

"My wife and I ate in Greig's before going onto the Theatre last Friday and we had such a pleasant evening that I thought I would have to write a short piece here. We didn't have a great deal of time so we were concerned whether we should miss out the starter on the fixed pre-theatre menue, but the very courteous head waiter assured us we would have plenty of time - and I'm very happy he did. We both had salmon, which was excellent, followed by one of the tastiest fillet steaks I have ever tasted! Service was impeccable, despite a busy restaurant (which made for a very pleasant atmosphere), and the coffees and real turkish delights were just that - a delight! This was just what a proper English restaurant should be and I thoroughly recommend it. We were actually early for the theatre, which was a great show, and an all-round good evening was had by all! "When we come to London, we always eat at least once at Greigs. The menu and the staff don't ever seem to change, so it must be a formula that works. Great steaks, great chips, great martinis! "
