"Such a shame that the Connaught was destroyed and turned into another tacky money making Ramsay joint packing in the punters. Good food but could be any upscale hotel. The old Connaught (RIP) was in another class altogether - sadly missed."

"What a terrible shame! As someone who visited the Connaught restaurant regularly in the 'good old days', the new look is a great disappointment. The food is very good and the atmosphere perfectly pleasant, as in most decent 5 star hotels anywhere. But the special and unique atmosphere of one of the world's greatest restaurants has been destroyed."

"Extremely beautiful dining room with service buffed to a high polish. Excellent food, beautifully prepared, and the game dishes in particular are wonderful. Ambience would be perfect if smoking were banned instead of "discouraged." "
