The Traditional English Restaurants of London

Your guide to English restaurants in London

ffiona's

What is it about the English and their restaurants? We manage to turn out the most unusual and charming individuals, who act as hosts or, in this case, the hostess.

Ffiona Reid-Owen has her little fiefdom – or should it be ffiefdom in her case? – in Kensington Church Street, where she presides and occasionally quite forcefully advises you on what you should be choosing from her highly eclectic menu.

Whilst some might recall their school days at Eton or Harrow in the style of the dishes, most would accept that Ffiona turns out a much better quality than their alma mater ever did.

It is a cosy and intimate venue, whilst ‘la patronne’ makes sure that the whole experience is one that you will never forget.

Many also comment that though the food is a touch rustic in style, the quality, allied to the reasonable prices, ensures that it is a totally pleasurable event.
