"We have eaten in Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese twice so far both last year in 2003 - in May and December. I love that place above all other pubs/restaurants in London. From the odd archways and snugs in the cellar to the Chop Room and the Johnson Restaurant - it is honestly a trip back in time. And it's not only Ameican tourists you will encounter - we saw plenty of Brits there, as well. The food is hardy and well prepared. Look round the corner for Johnson House! A#1 London experience."

Just knowing Dickens and Dr. Johnson had entered through the same door, and perhaps sat on the same bench, gave me goose bumps.
