"As a Yank resident locally for 20 odd years I find this pub both refreshing and rejuvenating yet at times soulless compared to the other great local - the Nag's Head. This may be due to moments when too many ex-pat corporate/government tools occupy the establishment and its courtyard. On a good night the food and atmosphere cannot be beaten but such nights are increasingly few and far between."
